 Thanks for visiting our page. We are the Transitions Ministry for Young Adults at Mission Eben Ezer Family  Church. We have intentionally created a ministry which understands the needs of the young adult generation.  There is an element of social interaction which young adults do not pursue within the context of church and end  up looking for it elsewhere. Our goal is to provide that along with in-depth biblical study and vibrant praise music.  Expect food at just about every gathering we have. We can't wait to meet you!

History

            The Transitions Young Adult Ministry of Mission Eben Ezer has been in existence since the Summer of 2006. As a result of the tremendous growth within our youth group called “The Rock”, there was a felt need for ministry directed to those who are just out of high school spanning through the college years and a little beyond. With this in mind, Pastors Joe Hernandez and Coba Canales began a project which had its origin in a previous singles ministry called “The Alternative”. The Transitions ministry has reached hundreds of young adults in the Southbay area and continues to be a great resource for those who are striving to honor God with their youth.
           
Purpose

            The purpose of Transitions is to provide a welcoming atmosphere for young adults who enjoy having a good time but want to do it God’s way. Understanding that college students and post-college age young adults need a combination of serious engagement with Scripture, mature worship, and lots of fun—Transitions has become a home for many young adults seeking to find this balance in their young lives. Transitions exists to help young adults glorify God with their choices and instill Godly principles that will impact them and their families down the road.

What We Do

            The Transitions Young Adult Ministry gathers 3-4 times monthly either in a worship service or ministry outing. The usual schedule includes a Friday night worship service every other week with an activity on one of the off weeks. This ministry also serves as a way to get people involved in various church and community activities by providing service opportunities. A typical Friday night worship service includes live music, ice-breakers, a biblical message and fellowship afterward—usually involving food and hanging out at someone’s house.
